My family life has always been good. We’ve discovered recently my dad has Dementia so his behavior is now a lot more mean. Is it bad I don’t want to stay with my family too long? It's so hard.

My mother-in-law is slipping into dementia and my kids are heartbroken.
Even worse, she calls my oldest by her estranged son's name sometimes.

I'm transgender. I think ftm. My father suffers from dementia and I can't be who I want to be because he isn't able to understand or remember and it'd frighten and confuse him
