My dad has dementia. I cry regularly when I notice his symptoms getting worse. He never sees it because I hide in the bathroom. Then I come out and help him with whatever he needs

After over 3 years they finally diagnosed my dad with frontotemporal dementia. He’s 54. I’m devastated.

I haven't made the effort to go out like I used to.  I take care of my dad who has dementia and also work. I have never felt so lonely and isolated in my entire life.

One of the hardest parts about dementia, is still having your Dad around that you used to go to for advice. Except now he stares blankly at you.

I separated from my wife whom I still love, to come and help my mother who has dementia. She will often ask me a lot of questions about my wife. THIS IS TOUGH on me emotionally, but she needs the help.
