I chose to be homeless as a teen. I wanted to keep using instead of going to rehab. Looking back, I made the wrong choice but I sure learned from it. 5 years sober today!

My whole life I'd had it easy. So when I graduated and had 10k in the bank I CHOSE to live on the streets and blow it on drugs. I'm clean now and loved the experience, but I can't get back into the "real world" these days...

I am bipolar. During one of my manic episodes, I took off from home and chose to live on the streets for 5 months. I never want to be back to that place, mentally or physically.
