My nephew was in the system. After I learned he was in a foster home (1 day), I pushed hard for me to get him until the adoption went through. Now, I can’t see my life without him.

I didn't want kids, but I changed my mind once I lost my mom and uncle in the same 6 months. I realized I wanted to be like my grandma and sit around a table with a big family, surrounded by love.

I had children because I wanted to give someone else all the love I never got growing up (my parents were toxic and verbally/physically abusive) I did it for love!
