It's not a deal breaker, but I definitely wouldn't be happy if my wife refused to take my last name. I feel like our generation is getting rid of so many traditions...

I don’t want my fiance to take my name. She has her own identity and lineage. That tradition, to me, is stupid and outdated.

It’s only important to me that my wife makes her own choice in regards to taking my last name or not. As long as she's doing what SHE wants to do, I will be happy.

I used to think no, she doesn’t have to take my last name. Then I realized it’s actually really important that she does take my name. You’re either committed to a marriage or not. You love me or you don't.

I think it’s important to have the same last name. Whether it's mine, hers or some new name we come up with together- it doesn’t matter. So long as the family is unified.
