Should a medical issue excuse students from the rules?

I've had asthma attacks due to the severe heat of the classrooms at my school. I got sent home for wearing a decent tank top despite it being 90+° in the room.

When I was in high school, I got sent home for wearing a shirt that showed *gasp* my arms. To protect the more valuable boys and their more valuable educations. Happens to girls every day in America.

I got sent home from school for wearing a shirt that "showed off my breasts too much." It was a tank top that I wore a flannel overtop of. The tank wasn't low-cut. But I still got sent home.

I got dress coded today for wearing shorts. They weren't revealing in the slightest. If only teachers knew how much it screws up your day to be sent home and ridiculed
